Police are urgently appealing for witnesses to come forward after a young man was stabbed in Manchester.

Officers were called to Rosedale Road in Moss Side at around 5pm on Sunday 8 May.

An 18-year-old man was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

A cordon was put in place throughout the rest of Sunday and Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said it was increasing the number and officers present in the area.

A full investigation has been launched. No arrests have been made so far.
