Tyson Fury is set to fight a young American footballer, who appeared on reality series Too Hot To Handle, in his next bout.

The professional boxer, 34, known as The Gypsy King, will go head-to-head with his unexpected opponent Chase DeMoor, 26, next month.

The pair will step into the ring at OVO Arena Wembley in London on Saturday, 13 May, 2023.

Misfits Boxing, KSI’s crossover fighting brand, announced the news on Twitter and Instagram yesterday. They wrote: “The GOAT finally gets his shot! @ChaseDeMoor has accepted the challenge of heavyweight prospect @Tyson_Fury”.

Chase commented on the Instagram post, writing: “No more ducking 🤧 make sure you polish my belt before it gets back to me @tysonfury”.

One boxing fan said: “This has to be a joke right???😂”

A third joked: "CHASE DEMOOR WILL PUT FURY ON THE FLOOR”.

Despite their social media post, Misfits Boxing have still yet to release an official statement confirming the fight.

KSI himself even reacted to the fight on Twitter, the YouTuber wrote: "I hope this is fake. Putting Fury’s health at serious risk making this fight, smh."

Chase, who starred in series two of Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle, is yet to make his professional football career debut but has competed in a series of professional boxing matches.

The 26-year-old is only a few centimetres shorter and a few kilograms lighter than The Gypsy King.

Tyson was expected to fight in July and December last year but when the negotiations for clashes against Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk halted, it was unclear who he would take on next.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn recently hinted that Tyson could fight Andy Ruiz Jr on Saturday 22 July, this year.

Speaking to Boxing King Media, Eddie was asked about Tyson’s next opponent, and despite not even being The Gypsy King’s promoter, he said: “Andy Ruiz, July 22nd”.
