‘My body confidence is getting worse’: Molly-Mae Hague says she won’t wear a bikini again since giving birth

The Love Island star has opened up about her lack of confidence in her latest vlog.

Molly-Mae Hague admits she can’t picture herself wearing a bikini again and that her confidence has gotten worse since giving birth to Bambi. The Love Island star, 24, welcomed her first daughter with boyfriend Tommy Fury, also 24, in January 2023.

In her latest YouTube video, filmed while in Barbados for the lavish wedding of her manager Fran Britton, the new mum opened up about her lack of confidence and apprehension towards wearing a bikini. Explaining that she hadn’t tanned as much as she wanted to due to the rainy weather, whilst donning a strapless swimsuit from River Island, Molly-Mae said: “For me at the minute, swimsuits are the one, I am not a bikini girl at the minute just because I don’t have the confidence.”

She added: “Well, I didn’t really have the confidence for bikinis before I had a baby,” before explaining later in the YouTube video that her “confidence is getting less” as she keeps experiencing “stage fright” when trying to film her vlogs. She told her 1.79 million subscribers that she was going to make a vision board when back in England to help her “manifest” more confidence.

The new mum then showed two outfits, saying that she will feel “more confident” in her £1,200 hot pink blazer and trousers set from Jacquemus, adding: “Right now with my body, I just need anything that is going to give me more confidence because I genuinely feel like, with time, my confidence with my body is actually getting worse. It’s irritating me.”

The Love Island star continued: “I’m finding it harder to accept that I’ve got a real journey to start if I want to feel more confident in my body. I was speaking about it to my family and I don’t really picture myself ever putting on a bikini ever again.”

Despite wearing bikinis everyday for almost eight weeks whilst on the ITV reality show in 2019, Molly-Mae told her fans: “Before I had a baby I didn’t feel confident in a bikini so after having a baby, I just don’t picture myself like ever thinking ‘Oh I’ll slip a bikini on and feel amazing’.”

Molly-Mae’s thoughts about her body come just weeks after she was praised by fans and celebrities alike for showing off her natural post-birth body whilst on enjoying a boat trip in Dubai with Tommy and Bambi.
