Kath Phipps was a part of the club for 55 years, holding various positions over the years. She started working at the club as a switchboard operator in September 1968.
Kath soon forged friendships with Sir Matt Busby, Jimmy Murphy and United’s star-studded squad, spending countless hours with Ballon d’Or winners George Best, Bobby Charlton and Denis Law as they signed autographs to send to their fans.
The funeral service took place at Manchester Cathedral on January 6. Man United players past and present, including Marcus Rashford, Roy Keane, and Peter Schmeichel were in attendance. Sir Alex Ferguson was also there to show his respects
