A new health centre could soon replace a phone shop and travel store in the centre of Denton.
The unit where the O2 shop was based in Crown Point North Shopping Park would become a new diagnostics health centre, if plans are approved. The new health centre would provide scans and services including MRI; X-ray; CT; DXA; nuclear machine; ultrasound; angiography; mammograms; endoscopy as well as audiology. InHealth, who would operate the service, have a close partnership with NHS Trusts across the UK, providing specialist diagnostic solutions, with a focus on radiology.

Hide AdUnit 1c formerly housed an O2 phone store, while Unit 1d was occupied by a TUI travel store and both are now vacant. The proposal put forward by InHeath would see the two units amalgamated into one.
The community diagnostics centre (CDC) will mainly be used for diagnostic procedures, including MRI, CT, and ultrasound scanning. It will have a front facing reception and waiting area, and numerous consulting and examination rooms.
Planning documents read: “The proposals will also provide economic benefits in terms of capital investment and the creation of around 25-30 jobs in a range of roles. Approximately 15 employees will work onsite every day. The development will also encourage linked trips and support the vitality of the wider Crown Point shopping park.”
