A spokesperson said: “Think Italian goodness in the heart of our city – as the Refuge terrace will be the new home of a Malfy Gin pop-up with themed cocktails and photo opps, inspired by the romantic Amalfi coast.

“Located within The Refuge at The Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, the relaxing terrace will offer guests the perfect place to feel like they are escaping to the Amalfi coast for the evening.”

What is now the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel, located on Oxford Road, started out life in 1895 as the Refuge Assurance Company Offices.

The launch night is August 3, after which it will be open to the public.
