Police have issued an urgent appeal for help to find a man from Manchester who has gone missing amid concerns for his welfare.
Marghani Abubakar was last seen on Parrs Wood Road at around 5.30pm on Thursday (20 October) after he left his accommodation at Richmond Care in Longsight at 6.55am that day,

Hide AdMr Abubakar is a 60-year-old Somalian man who is around six foot in height and has an average build. He was last seen wearing a distinctive blue t-shirt, dark trousers and sandals.
He has dementia and type-two diabetes and does not have a mobile phone on him, and officers are keen to ensure he is safe and well as soon as possible amid mounting concern for his welfare. Police say he is known to the local bus operators so may have travelled out of the area he was last seen in.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) say anyone with information about Mr Abubakar’s whereabouts or who sees him should contact 0161 856 5850 or 101. The force has also requested any CCTV footage which might help the search.
