Located on Longstone Road, the Hungry Horse pub will be temporarily closed to the public from 30 June whilst the investment takes place, with the upgraded venue set to reopen its doors next month.

Greene King said: “The works include a transformation of the Flying Horse’s interior space to create a modern, open-plan restaurant area, complete with new furnishings to offer an elevated atmosphere for guests. The pub is due to install a brand-new self-serve coffee machine, offering customers the chance to stay energised with free refills throughout the day. The pub’s sports area will also be improved with upgraded TV screens and a new darts lane, providing sports enthusiasts and competitive socialisers alike with top-notch entertainment.”

Additionally, The Flying Horse will receive an external revamp with new outdoor furniture and more seating for visitors to relax over the summer period.
