Holt, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged before appearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

The court heard how Holt was ‘waving his front around’ for around 15 seconds to members of the public before he was spotted by officers.

He later admitted the offence of indecent exposure and was sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge as well as a £22 victim surcharge.

What did police say?

Inspector Scott Fletcher, of GMP’s City of Manchester Central division, said: “I want to thank the patrolling officers that saw Dion Holt commit this outrageous offence as their swift response prevented the public from being subjected to witnessing this disgraceful act for any longer.

“At this time on a Friday afternoon, the station and its surrounding areas will have been very busy with people coming in and out of the city, and for them to have to witness Holt acting in this manner will have no doubt caused distress to those who saw it.

“I’m glad this case has been brought before the courts and dealt with within 24 hours and I hope the actions of our officers demonstrate that we won’t tolerate these kinds of indecent offences that are of a nuisance to the public, and can really make people feel unsafe on our streets.”
