£30m plans to improve emergency and urgent care services at Stepping Hill Hospital have taken another step forward. The new facility intends to transform the hospital’s A&E unit into a more modern and efficient building ‘where patients, families and carers can expect to receive high quality care’. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Manchester for the official unveiling of the Glade of Light memorial. The memorial commemorates those killed in the Manchester Arena terror attack in May 2017, where twenty-people lost their lives and many more were injured. And Sir Lenny Henry has been announced as the latest personality taking part in Manchester UNESCO City of Literature’s Festival of Libraries. The comedian and presenter will front the Look For A Book campaign which celebrates the written word and the places where they can be borrowed.
