Manchester Marathon 2023: how to get early entry places as discount deadline looms

The next Adidas Manchester Marathon is taking place in April 2023 and places are filling up fast with a record number of people already signed up.

Runners have until midnight on 12 October to register for the 6,500 Early Entry places on offer at a discounted fee.

There are several types of entry for runners of all abilities, including two and four-person relay options if you want to split the distance with friends, and discounted places for two people entering at the same time.

Participants opting for individual entry are guaranteed a place on the starting line, as well as a personalised running bib which will be sent out in advance, predicted location tracking on the day and finish line rewards.

These places cost £59 at Early Entry and £79 after the 5 October deadline.

The adidas Manchester Marathon, which will be taking place this year on 23 April 2023, is the second largest marathon in the UK, with 24,000 people signing up for the event in 2022.

It also raises money for charities and good causes.

Last year, £1.9million was raised for the Manchester Marathon’s official partners – Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation and Sense – as well as further £1million for other other charities and £31,000 for the Disaster Emergency Committee’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

Nick Rusling, CEO of the adidas Manchester Marathon, said: “The flat route might be what initially appeals to many runners from across the UK and Europe, but our feedback shows that it is overwhelmingly the unique atmosphere and sensational support on the course from Greater Manchester that everybody goes away talking about.

“We believe that we are on track to become the world’s friendliest marathon.

“Our new title partnership with adidas from 2023 will allow us to improve the experience for our runners and do even more in the local community.”
