Manchester International Festival has begun today (July 29) and will be showcasing art, theatre, music and more at venues across the city for the next couple of weeks.

Hide AdFrom June 29 to July 16, the festival will celebrate groundbreaking work from new artists worldwide and Manchester's landmark new events space Aviva Studios - home of Factory International - will create a global destination for arts, music and culture at the heart of our city.
We went down on opening day for a sneak preview of some of the work on display over the next few weeks.
The exhibition we were able to preview was Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama's larger-than-life exhibition: 'You, Me and the balloons', which was an extraordinary display of inflatables and colour inside the Warehouse space in Aviva Studios.
