Dramatic footage shows thick black smoke billowing into the Manchester sky on February 23.

Manchester Fire and Rescue Service said 10 fire appliances were called to attend a fire involving heavy goods vehicles on Ennis Close, Manchester shortly after 8.15am on February 23.

In an update issued just after 12.30pm, the service said the fire was largely extinguished, with just one area still requiring the attention of firefighters.

They also confirmed that evacuated residents had returned to their homes, and the road closure that was in place had been lifted.
