We spoke to the people of Manchester about the upcoming local elections and if they think it is important to them to vote.

The local council elections in Manchester are just around the corner, with voters going to the polls on on Thursday 5 May across the city-region.

The local elections count for Manchester City Council will be held during the day at Manchester Central on Friday 6 May, with results due out that day.

We asked the people of Manchester whether they will be voting in this year’s council elections and whether what is happening in national politics with the Government will influence how they vote at local council level.
