The popular annual event usually draws in around 60,000 attendees and passionately celebrates the Caribbean communities with a parade, Caribbean food stalls, and Reggae, Calypso, and Soca music.

The festivities kick off with a traditional J’ouvert at 7am on August 12, followed by a parade at 12pm, which will follow a revised route.

British-Jamaican artist, Stylo G, is headlining and there will be eight entertainment stages offering a host of talent.

The route begins outside the Moss Side Power House, continuing on Moss Lane East before turning on to Upper Lloyd Street. Then the route continues down Great Western Street, before turning right and following Quinney Crescent round.

The J’ouvert will continue down Alexandra Road, before finishing at Alexandra Park for around 9am.

This year’s parade route will not include Stretford Road, Old Birley Street, Greenhey’s Lane West and Chirchester Road South, as it has in the past.

Kicking off at around 12pm, the parade will commence from outside Alexandra Park. It will go down Claremont Road, following on to Yarburgh Street and up Chorlton Road.

The parade will turn right on to Moss Lane East, passing Moss Side Brewery and the Power House. It will turn on to Upper Lloyd Street before making its final stretch back on to Claremont Road, where it will conclude.
