First Street Bar and Kitchen promise to ‘strike the perfect balance of savoury and sweet.’

There are some British traditions that must never die - fish and chips by the sea, strawberries and cream at Wimbledon, and a full English breakfast eaten the morning after the night before.

And then of course there is Afternoon Tea - so British it has a whole week dedicated to it.

Yes, it’s Afternoon Tea Week next month and First Street Bar & Kitchen are preparing to celebrate it with their own take on the great British tradition.

Beautifully presented on a stylish gold tiered platter, the upmarket venue’s take on the afternoon delight is said to ‘strike the perfect balance of savoury and sweet.’

Guests are invited to experience the ultimate indulgence with a deli selection, freshly baked scones, and four picture-worthy sweet treats in the sleek surroundings of the open plan restaurant and bar lounge.

Or on a sunny day (remember those?) take to the venue’s generous two-tier terrace and soak up the sun as well as First Street’s vibrant atmosphere.

A pot of loose-leaf tea completes the menu with guests invited to choose from English breakfast, earl grey, camomile, green, and peppermint.

Those looking to extend the occasion can let the day slip into night in the plush lounge bar where guests can enjoy an extensive selection of premium Italian and international wines, cocktails, spirits, and beers.

Pull up a seat between 5pm and 7pm, aperitivo time, to enjoy a selection of complimentary cicchetti, with a resident DJ adding to the atmosphere at weekends.

First Street Bar & Kitchen is located at INNSiDE Manchester.

The restaurant is open for breakfast from 6.30am to 10am Monday to Friday, and 7am to 11am Saturday and Sunday, reopening for lunch and dinner, from 12pm to 11.00pm every day.
