An Aldi worker in Manchester is celebrating his work anniversary after 25 years with the business.

Wayne Davies first joined the supermarket as a trainee at their Rusholme Store. Assuming several roles during his time with Aldi, he now works as a Store Manager in Aldi’s Trafford Retail Park Store. From taking part in charity events for Aldi’s dedicated charity, Teenage Cancer Trust, to supporting fellow colleagues, Wayne has become an integral part of the Aldi team.

He said: “The past 25 years at Aldi have flown by and I’ve particularly loved having a role in the training process of new colleagues over recent years. It is so rewarding when you see people you have trained go on to become managers and still run stores today.”

When asked what the one Aldi product he couldn’t live without was, he said: “It has to be Aldi’s Salted Caramel Ice Cream – a must with any dessert!”

Ruth Doyle, Regional Managing Director at Aldi UK, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to all of our colleagues and take great pride in celebrating their achievements. Colleagues like Wayne have played a key part in our growth and success, and I would like to thank him for his contributions. Our colleagues allow us to connect with wider communities and continue to provide the high-quality service that customers keep coming back for.”
