Some travellers leaving Manchester Airport have found their travel plans delayed by fog hitting the region. On Sunday, the region woke up to misty skies which naturally has had an impact for people trying to jet off.

As of noon on February 11, plenty of flights were showing delays of more than an hour.

What has Manchester Airport said? 

Just before noon on Sunday, a Manchester Airport spokesperson said: "We have experienced some issues caused by low visibility affecting inbound flights this morning. This has caused delays to some outbound flights. Our resilience team is on hand to help affected passengers. The weather is improving and the schedule is returning to normal. We apologise for any inconvenience.”
