Following calls from the travel industry, the rules on testing have been eased for people travelling to England, meaning fully vaccinated travellers coming to England will no longer have to take a test before they travel.

With the removal of pre-departure travel tests, Manchester Airports Group has revealed that this has delivered a boost to the sector, with consumer confidence rising and bookings surging in the days following the announcement.

The beginnings of a bounce back in an industry which has been badly hit by pandemic travel restrictions means around 1,000 jobs are being recruited for, 550 with the Airports group and the rest with the likes of et2.com, Ryanair, Swissport, UK Border Force, Menzies, and ABM.
