Mancunian Way is set to be closed for the last of four nights tonight. The road, which is a key route through the city, has been closed for several nights this week.

The road was closed on October 22, 23 and 25 overnight. The hours of the closure have been 8pm to 6am.

Transport for Greater Manchester/ Bee Network have explained that the closures are to carry out safety repairs to parapets on the road. The road was fully closed in September but these works were unable to be carried out then.

A recommended alternative route has been suggested by TfGM. This will see motorists instead head down Fairfield Street and then the B6469.  The full diversion route can be found on the TfGM/ Bee Network website.
