James Stonehouse: Oldham GMP officer charged with rape

He is due before a court in April.

A Greater Manchester police officer has been charged with rape.

PC James Stonehouse, 24, was arrested on suspicion of rape and was taken into custody for questioning. The officer, who was posted to GMP’s Oldham district, has now been charged with one count of rape and continues to be suspended from duty, GMP said today. He is due to attend Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on 11 April.
