Ms Rice was taken to hospital where she died shortly after the incident.

The driver of the car in his 20s remains in hospital in a critical condition. A male taxi driver in his 40s is also in hospital after suffering serious injuries.

It is believed Ms Rice, who was from Marston Green in the West Midlands, was visiting her boyfriend in Liverpool at the time of the incident.

Family, friends and a number of famous faces have paid tribute to the ‘inspiring woman’.

Ms Rice’s mum, Clare, has written on Instagram that her daughter ‘lived life to its fullest’ and added that ‘words cannot describe how broken I am as her mum. I’m overwhelmed by the love being shown.’

Grealish is the top donor to a fundraising page which has already raised nearly £30,000. He posted a crying emoji face and a broken heart on Instagram in response to Clare Rice’s comments.

The fundraising page describes Ms Rice stating: “She was such an amazing woman with such a clean heart who had so much love to give.

“Anyone she met she had a huge impact on and a smile that would light up any room. An inspiring woman who had so much life to live and goals to achieve, she has left so many with empty hearts.”

It ends by asking for donations: “Let’s give our angel the send off she deserves”.

The donation page can be found on GoFundMe here.
