International Women’s Day: The most inspirational women according to people in Manchester

International Women’s Day on March 8 is an annual global day celebrating the achievements of women. It's a day to focus greater attention on women's rights, gender and equality and recognise challenges still faced today.

International Women's Day is a chance to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political successes of inspirational women around the world and we wanted to give local people a chance to shout out the women they believe are the most inspirational and why.
