The family of a young man who died after being stabbed in Manchester have paid tribute to their ‘loving, caring’ son.

Ibraheem Ali, 19, died following a stabbing on Stockport Road, Levenshulme, at 11.30pm on Sunday 22 January. A 20-year-old man from Gorton has since been charged in relation to the incident.

In a tribute to Ibraheem, his mother and family said: “Ibraheem was the light of my soul. Such a caring soul. A kind of son I wish all mothers to have. This unexpected loss is difficult to comprehend. I hope and pray no mother has to go through this. My baby boy is no more, I will cherish his memories forever. Ibraheem was a beautiful, loving caring and kind young man. Always smiling, respectful and offering to help others around him. This is a tragic loss that has affected all the community. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.”
