How a bus in Manchester is helping people spot potentially deadly heart conditions

Medics have been offering free heart health checks in Manchester city centre.

Members of the public have been offered free health health check-ups in Manchester city centre - thanks to a touring bus making it easier to get checked out.

The Your Heart Matters bus was in St Ann’s Square on Wednesday, with medics from the Greater Manchester Cardiac Network giving visitors the heart rhythm tests.

Heart valve disease affects 1.5million people in the UK and can be fatal if untreated.

The bus was organised by a Manchester-based charity called Heart Valve Voice to help detect heart valve disease, and we went along to see what they found for our video report.
