People in the UK can offer to sponsor and house people fleeing the war in Ukraine.

The government are offering households £350 a month if they have obtained a visa through a new government scheme.

Under the programme, people will be able to nominate a named individual or a family to stay with them rent-free, or in another property, for at least six months.

We asked people on the streets of Manchester for their views on the new scheme and whether enough is being done to support refugees.
