All the latest updates as icy cold temperatures continue to grip the region

There may be no more snow falling, but bitterly cold temperatures have made it an icy cold day across Manchester. Temperatures are expected to remain below 2C today, with a 'feels like' temperature of much lower.

There was already a Met Office yellow snow and ice warning for large parts of the country, including Manchester. Warnings are in place on January 16, 17 and 18 for either snow and ice or just snow.

The Met Office forecast for Greater Manchester shows that temperatures overnight will drop to below freezing.

Up until noon tomorrow (January 17) the temperature across the region may be down at as low as -2C.
