Greater Manchester snow: 15 wintry scenes from Old Trafford, Salford Quays, MediaCity, Metrolink and more

The first snowfall of the season has hit Greater Manchester.

For the first time this winter, Greater Manchester woke up to snow – and it looks like we might see some more over the next couple of days.

Weather warnings for snow or ice are in place in the region until Thursday. Temperatures are unlikely to surpass 2/3C, according to the Met Office forecasts

Overall, however, it is business as usual for most of Greater Manchester. There have been no school closures, Manchester Airport remains operational and there are only a handful of disruptions to public transport, which you can keep on top via the Bee Network website.

We will also be updating our live blog with all the latest snow-related news over the next few days, so keep checking back.  In the meantime, here are some snow pictures from across Greater Manchester.
