A Greater Manchester Indian restaurant has won the top prize at a major industry awards.

The Milnrow Balti Restaurant, on Dale Street, Milnrow, Rochdale won the 'Champion of Champion' prize at the 2023 Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards on Monday night. They were also named the winner of Regional Restaurant of the Year for the North West.

The awards, which took place at Hilton Park Lane in London, are the most prestigious celebration of Pan Asian cuisine in the UK, honouring Asian restaurants all over the UK. ARTA 2023 welcomed a guest list of the nation’s most popular Asian restaurateurs alongside MPs, dignitaries, and celebrities as they collectively honoured the achievements of the industry.

There was also a Greater Manchester winner in the Regional Takeaway of the Year for the North West category, with Bolton's Bradshaw Tandoori taking home the prize.
