Greater Manchester's 'best' primary schools have been listed in a league table by The Telegraph. This latest table has been formed by using SAT scores achieved by students up and down the UK.
These scores have been released by the Department for Education for the first time since 2019. In 2020-21 and 2021-22 the assessments were cancelled as a result of the impact caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The league table shows each school to have a score out of 120. This is collated by taking into account scores in maths, reading and writing.
The proportion of students meeting the expected standard is included in the league tables. Across England, this has fallen from 65% to 60% over the course of the pandemic disruption. Pupils are required to meet the Department for Education's scaled expected standard of 100 (a test score of around 51%) in all three subjects.
All of the Greater Manchester schools we have included has an Ofsted rating of 'Outstanding'. This was correct at the time of publishing.
