The Greater Manchester area where locals have won a share of £3.2million but they've been made to wait

Many people take great pride in the postcode where they live. The code is often special to residents, and in some cases people live in the same one their entire lives.

For hundreds of people in Altrincham, their postcode has won them a share of £3.2 million. This comes as the postcode area of WA15 9 has been named as the March winner of the People’s Postcode Lottery prize. 

Postcode Lottery players in the winning postcode area will share the multi-million-pound prize and have been told they’ve bagged at least £5,000 each. The winning locals will find out exactly how much they’ve won during a special event at The Bowdon Rooms on Friday, March 29.  

The full winning postcode will also be revealed at the event on Friday evening. Anyone playing with the winning postcode will take home the largest cash prizes on the day. 

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassadors Danyl Johnson and Judie McCourt will be on hand to give winners the good news and reveal the winning cheques.
