Police investigating a series of the thefts from Manchester’s Glade of Light memorial have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incidents.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) says flowers have been taken from the tribute to the 22 people killed in a terrorist bombing at the Manchester Arena on three occasions in May and June.
Officers have now released an image of the man they want public help identifying.
Chief Inspector Adam Wignall, of GMP’s City of Manchester district, said: “This memorial is really precious to the family and friends of the victims as well as people across Greater Manchester who were impacted by the attack.
“Whilst we are carrying out our own enquiries, I ask anyone who can help identify the male in the CCTV image to contact us or Crimestoppers immediately.”
Anyone with information about the floral thefts should contact police on 0161 856 1930 or email [email protected] quoting reference number 4 for the date 20/06/22 .
Information can also be shared anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
