Household appliances, waste and general amenities usually are what Brits focus on when it comes to being eco-conscious at home, but it can often come with a higher price tag.

So, from decorations to dining tables, do we think more about the cost or the planet?

When making purchases for living spaces, 48% of people surveyed from Manchester think the cost is the most important factor, followed by durability (34.5%) and aesthetics (27.4%).

Only 15.5% view sustainability as the number one consideration, according to research by HEAL’S.

However, 64% of Manchester residents would prefer to spend more money on a product for their home or future house if it was better for the environment.
