Returning for the first time in more than two years due to the pandemic, Manchester City Centre will once again see thousands take part in The Great Manchester Run.

The 10k event will take place on Sunday and whether you do it for the challenge, to fundraise for charity, or simply for fun it’s open to everyone.

For many it’s a time to raise awareness and funds for charity in memory of a friend or family member, like the Broude family who are running in memory of dad Peter and son Robert, who told us about their very personal reason for being involved.

And elite athlete Eilish McColgan revealed she is delighted to be part of the elite competition.
