Free Covid-19 testing is scrapped in Manchester - would you pay for a Covid test now?

We found out what people think about the scrapping of free covid-19 tests.

As part of the government’s Living with Covid plan, free mass testing has been scrapped since 1 April.

You can no longer order free lateral flow or PCR tests via the Government website, but you can buy lateral flows in supermarkets and chemists - with prices ranging from about £2-£6 for an individual test.

The government has defended its decision as it significantly expanded the official list of coronavirus symptoms.

We asked people in Greater Manchester for their thoughts on the end of free Covid-19 testing and whether they agree or disagree with the move.
