Former Lioness star Ellen White visits Manchester pub ahead of 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup

Former England Women’s International Ellen White visited O’Neill’s Printworks in Manchester ahead of the 2023 World Cup. The ex-Lioness star, who is the leading goal-scorer for the women’s national team took part in a meet and greet fans on a night hosted by football pundit Nancy Baker.  

The exclusive event was attended by 85 guests. During the visit, she spoke about her experiences playing for the national team, signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.

White returned to Manchester for a night and brought with her many memories from her time as a player. Se scored 20 goals in 56 matches for Man City. 

Abbie Grimshaw, general manager at O’Neill’s Printworks, said: “We were incredibly honoured to welcome football legend Ellen White to O’Neill’s Printworks to meet local fans.

 “Ellen's remarkable achievements on the football field and her unwavering dedication to the sport make her the perfect representative for our commitment to women's football. We are proud to provide a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere for fans to come together and celebrate the Women's World Cup."

The evening was part of O’Neill’s promotions ahead of the World Cup. The pub has several large screens and booths for fans to enjoy the action. 

England’s next group match will take place against Denmark on Friday July 28 and will kick off at 9.30am UK time. Their final group match is against China and kicks off at 12pm UK time on August 1.
