The eyes of the nation were on the Women's World Cup final as England came up short.

England's fantastic run at the Women's World Cup ended in heartbreak in the final against Spain.

The Lionesses saw their hopes of glory end in a 1-0 defeat - Olga Carmona's goal just before the half hour ultimately settling things. Manchester United's Mary Earps also saved a Spanish penalty before picking up the Golden Glove award given to the best goalkeeper at the tournament.
