Man in his 40s dies after wall collapse during house renovations in Manchester
An investigation has been launched into the death of a man after a wall was reported to have collapsed during works to renovate a house in Manchester.

Hide AdPolice, paramedics and the fire service were called to the property in Lloyd Street in the Fallowfield area at just before 3pm on Saturday.
An air ambulance also attended but the man, aged in his 40s, died at the scene.
Greater Manchester Police said in a statement: “At around 2.50pm yesterday (September 16), officers were called to reports of concerns for welfare of a man at an address on Lloyd Street, Manchester.

Hide Ad“It was established that a man in his 40s was involved in a workplace accident and despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Enquiries are ongoing at this stage.”
A Health and Safety Executive spokeswoman told the PA news agency that it had been notified of the fatal incident.
She said: “We are liaising with the police and we are making initial inquiries to make sure it is an incident that we have the remit to investigate.”
