A new study has revealed the Coronation Street stars who can earn the most money on Instagram - with Tina O’Brien taking the crown.

Meanwhile Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter is the highest overall earner of any British soap star.

The research by ICE36 has revealed the potential Instagram earnings of the most successful British soap actors and actresses to reveal the highest-earning soap stars - and it’s enough to make your eyes water.

Tina O’Brien takes first place as the highest earner for the cast of Coronation Street where she plays the role of Sarah Platt. Since her time on the ITV soap opera, Tina has gained popularity on social media. She currently has over half a million Instagram followers and earns an estimated £1,911 per sponsored collaboration post.

Samia Longchambon comes in second place as one of the highest earners on Coronation Street. The English actress from Greater Manchester has played the role of Maria Connor since 2000. She now has almost 432,000 on Instagram and is expected to earn £1,615 per sponsored post.

Jack Peter Shepherd ranks in third place. Best known for his role as David Platt, the actor quickly rose to fame having won various awards such as the ‘Best Young Actor’ at The Inside Soap Awards and the ‘Best Soap Actor’ at the TV Choice Awards in 2020. Shepherd now has 391,000 followers on Instagram and is said to earn an estimated £1,462 per sponsored post.

On other soaps:

  • Jorgie Porter is the highest overall earner of any British soap star, earning around £2,830 per Instagram post. Portraying the role of Theresa McQueen on Hollyoaks, the 35-year-old now has over 750,000 followers on Instagram.
  • Lacey Turner grabs first place as Eastenders’ highest earner. Playing the role of Stacey Slater, the actress has accumulated 495,000 followers on Instagram and can earn approximately £1,851 per sponsored post.
  • Kia Pegg tops the list as the highest earner on the BBC soap opera Doctors where she plays the receptionist Scarlett Kiernan. The actress has just under 100,000 followers on Instagram and could potentially earn £418 for a single sponsored post.
  • When it comes to Emmerdale’s highest earner, Lisa Riley grabs the top spot with the actress able to earn £717 per sponsored Instagram post. Known for portraying the role of Mandy Dingle, Riley has since gone on to other projects such as being a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing and a panellist on Loose Women.
