Pink fans called the chaotic queues to exit the car park in the aftermath of her knock-out Bolton gig last night “a joke” as they were left stranded for hours.

The mega star kicked off the European leg of her Summer Carnival 2023 tour at the University of Bolton Stadium - wowing fans with a spectacle of a show that saw the American singer carrying out dazzling acrobatic feats and flying through the air.

But more than two hours after the show finale hundreds of cars were still stuck trying to exit the car park. With a limited train service running from the nearby Horwich Park station, many fans had driven to the concert to ensure they were not left stranded.

But instead they found themselves stuck in a none moving queue of vehicles for hours. Many disgruntled fans posted up their complaints on social media - with one fan saying it took her THREE hours to do a forty minute journey.

The fan posted on twitter this morning: Yup we got home at 2am. 3 hr journey instead of 40 mins. Do NOT drive if seeing Pink tonight. Loads of roads closed without any logical reason. No police directing traffic. @gmpolice @BoltonStadium what were you thinking?

The Get The Party Started singer, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore Hart delighted fans with her spell binding show, which saw her giving a slick, cirque-de-soleil type performance against a background of lurid pink, glitter, spectacular lighting and fireworks.

But following the gig, delighted fans were less than impressed as they were left stuck at a standstill just trying to exit and get home. Fans say police were called to try and clear the car park.

One fan tweeted a video of the dozens of cars still queuing the leave the car park at 1.26am this morning.
