It’s an annual tradition in Wigan that Boxing Day is marked by a big night out in fancy dress - and as these pictures show, people were keen toensure the tradition keeps thriving once again in 2022.
Revellers in the Greater Manchester town have for years marked the day after Christmas by donning a huge array of outfits and hitting the town centre.
Santas, cows, tennis players, emergency service personnel and Spice Girls were among the costumes which could be seen as the party-goers made their way between the pubs and clubs on King Street in the town centre.
