Bolton sex assault: Police seek three men after ‘serious’ assault in Bradshawgate area

Greater Manchester police have issued CCTV of three men they wish to trace.

A woman approached police officers on the beat in Bolton to report a serious sexual assault.

The foot patrol cops spoke with the distressed woman atat 5.20am on Saturday 17 September.

GMP said several lines of enquiry are being followed and officers would like to speak to three men in a CCTV image who were seen in Bradshawgate in the town centre.

Detective Inspector Stuart Woodhead, of GMP Bolton’s CID, said: “We are thankful that this woman felt able to approach officers and quickly access specialist support whilst initial enquiries were completed. We are continuing to work with her and gather essential evidence.

“Since this report came in, we have carried out extensive enquiries in and around Bolton town centre and are now in a position to release this image and appeal for help to identify those within it.

“Greater Manchester Police is running a dedicated operation which polices the night time economy in our city and town centres, including Bolton. This will continue in the coming days and weeks. Anyone with concerns should approach officers or our force contact centre.”
