Depot Climbing has sites across the north and midlands, with one bouldering centre already situated in Trafford. The company offers instructed sessions for beginners and different ranges of walls in terms of difficulty for all abilities.

The new site off Southmoor Road has floorspace that measures approximately 6,289 square metres and will offer 50 car parking spaces. There will also be five electric vehicles spaces and three disabled parking spaces.

Managing Director Steve Dunning said: “It will be the UK’s biggest climbing centre – set to provide world-class roped and bouldering facilities for those taking their first steps in climbing through to those with Olympic climbing aspirations. We’re excited to be bringing this game-changing facility not just to Manchester, but the UK too.”

There is currently no confirmed opening date for the new site but Depot Climbing is hoping to bring their flagship centre to Manchester in 2024.
