A male suspect, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage with intent to endanger life, police have said. He is assisting detectives with their enquiries.
There is a police presence in the area of Rochdale where the incident happened while investigations are carried out at the scene. Extra officers have been deployed on patrol in the area to reassure residents, the force added.
GMP is now appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have information about this incident to come forward. They are also looking for doorbell or dashcam footage that could assist the officers investigating.
