Securing an appointment with an NHS dentist is becoming increasingly difficult, with fewer practices taking on NHS patients and more dentists choosing to work in the more lucrative private sector.
What’s more, the industry is still feeling the effects of the pandemic, when all routine dental care was halted. Many practices are still dealing with backlogs and staff shortages.
The NHS website has information about all the practices that offer NHS services and whether or not they are taking on new patients. We’ve had a look through some of the top-rated surgeries, according to Google reviews, to see if they are taking on new NHS patients.
All practices selected have at least 4.9 stars out of five and are based on at least 20 reviews. In particular order, here they are.
