Schools in Manchester have been closed since the end of May, with pupils enjoying a week off for the May half term holiday.
During this week off we have celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee with a double header bank holiday weekend.
Pupils are due to return to school during the week commencing Monday, 6 June.

When do schools finish for the summer?
The summer holidays in Manchester, according to Manchester City Council, are due to begin on Wednesday, 27 July.
This brings to an end a summer term which started on Monday, 25 April and also a conclusion to the academic year.
When is the next bank holiday?
People across the UK have recently enjoyed a four day weekend which was created as a celebration for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.

Hide AdThe double bank holiday weekend, which was created to mark the Queen’s 70th anniversary of being on the throne, consisted of one new bank holiday and pushing back the already established late May bank holiday.
There will be a bit of a wait until the next bank holiday, with the next extra day off not due for almost two months.
The next bank holiday in the UK is the August bank holiday which is due to take place on Monday, 29 August.
This is the late summer bank holiday and will take place just days before schools in Manchester are set to reopen for the new school year.
When does the autumn term start?

Hide AdPupils in Manchester, of both primary and secondary school age, will head back to the classroom in early September following the summer holidays.
According to the council website, schools will open on Thursday, 1 September.
The next holiday school pupils in Manchester will have will then be the October half term holiday.
This is due to begin on Monday, Friday, 21 October and will see pupils remain away from the classroom until Monday, 31 October.
