A Greater Manchester pub has reopened to drinkers following a £150,000 makeover including major changes to the interior.

The Bricklayers, located in Failsworth in Oldham, threw its doors back open to the public once more for the coronation weekend and the occasion was marked in style, with a DJ and karaoke for the reopening night.

The pub, on Hardman Lane, is part of the Proper Pubs division of major pub company Admiral Taverns and the company has splashed the cash to change the way the place looks inside.

The watering hole now has a new look and feel on the interior, with major changes to both the front and back bar, lighting and flooring. The decor has also been given an upgrade for a more modern feel and two TVs have been installed in the beer garden outside as well.

As well as providing drinks the pub has a busy schedule of community events and fund-raisers for charity. The pub has been hosting craft fairs in its garden and has successfully raised enough money to have a defibrillator installed on site.
