The 13 biggest gigs taking place in Manchester in 2023- including Arctic Monkeys and Elton John

It’s going to be a great year for music in Manchester- here’s why.

This year is, like most years, set to be another huge one for music in Manchester. The city’s many top venues will play host to some of the biggest names in the industry.

The AO Arena will be host to many of these gigs. However, other great venues around Manchester with big gigs on the cards include the O2 venues and Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground. A double header of shows by Sheffield’s finest Arctic Monkeys will take place at the cricket ground. Another one of Manchester’s finest sporting venues, the Etihad Stadium, will host a Coldplay gig in the summer.

This year will see the final ever Manchester show by legendary artist Elton John. This final show will be at the AO Arena in June. For a glimpse into what is in store on the Manchester music scene this year, look no further. We’ve compiled a list of 13 of the biggest gigs taking place across Manchester in 2023.
