Manchester whiskey fans can enjoy a brand new experience as a Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned Trolley complete with a built-in smoker is taking up residency at Project Halcyon.

Project Halcyon won the Best New Bar award in March this year– voted for by a community of 17,000 hospitality staff at the Manchester Bar Awards (MBAs).

The speakeasy – which is connected to the working distillery for Manchester gin makers Zymogorium - is one of the city’s best kept secrets, located beneath Old Granada Studios, where ITV soap Coronation Street was filmed.

Now, Buffalo Trace Distillery, has joined forces with Project Halcyon, the hidden gem of Manchester’s cocktail scene, to introduce an extraordinary new addition: The Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned Trolley which will be launching from June 16.

This collaboration promises to deliver “an unforgettable journey through the flavours and multiple styles of the iconic Old Fashioned cocktail”

Guests will be invited to immerse themselves in the rich heritage of Buffalo Trace Distillery by selecting their favourite bourbon from the esteemed range. Expert bartenders stationed at the tableside will skilfully craft the Old Fashioned cocktail to perfection, offering guests the choice of Original, Aged, or Smoked style.

The pièce de résistance is the trolley’s built-in smoker, which replicates the distinctive water tower found at the Kentucky distillery and adds an extra layer of complexity and flavour to the classic Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned.

The venue is open on Thursday, Sunday, and Monday from 4:30pm to 1am, and on Friday and Saturday from 3pm to 1am.
