Romantic and historic, a list of the most incredible castle wedding venues in the world has been released, with a castle in Cheshire making the list. Condé Nast Traveller, a luxury travel magazine has shared its list of stunning castle venues for couples wanting to plan something extra special for their big day.

Four venues from across the UK have made the list which also includes the Hluboká Castle in Czech Republic and Château de Chambord in France. The list is perfect for those planning to marry like royalty and fancy a luxurious wedding.

Three venues from across the UK as well as a fourth in Ireland made the coveted list that had plenty of castle options for couples looking to splash the cash on a more opulent venue. Here’s which Cheshire castle made the list.

Peckforton Castle - Cheshire

Peckforton Castle is set among the stunning countryside in Cheshire. A wedding can be held here with up to 160 guests in any of the five licensed rooms inside the castle.

It is one of the country’s most prestigious venues which is also loved by many in Hollywood. In 2016, US singer Ciara married NFL quarterback Russell Wilson at the castle with Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Jennifer Hudson rumoured to have been guests at the wedding.

Peckforton Castle allows couples to really personalise their big day, including choosing their ceremony location. From a more intimate ceremony in the on-site chapel or the spectacular Great Hall, there are options to fit every couple.

The Great Hall features stunning stained glass windows alongside a 19th-century fireplace which can make an impressive backdrop for your nuptials. Couples can enjoy a personally tailored reception meal cooked by the in-house chefs inside the impressive drawing room.

The venue also offers 48 guest rooms, meaning that couples can keep the celebrations going over multiple days.
